Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, and what we do with it.
This policy covers the Custodia BAS Agent Services website. It is written in plain English because you should not need a lawyer to work out what happens to your details.
What we collect
If you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, email address and message, plus your phone number, business name and the type of enquiry if you choose to give them. That is all we ask for, and we do not ask for a postal address.
Our website host records standard technical information with every request, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. That is normal server logging and is used to keep the site running and secure.
What we do with it
We use your details to answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide the services you have asked for. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list from a website enquiry.
Who else is involved
These are the third-party services this website actually uses:
- Google Analytics - anonymised traffic statistics, so we can see which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser.
- Cloudflare Turnstile - checks the enquiry form is being filled in by a person and not a bot. It does not show puzzles and does not profile you.
- SMTP2GO - delivers the enquiry email to us.
- Gippsland Websites - builds and maintains this site, and receives a copy of form submissions so an enquiry is never lost if our mailbox has a problem.
Some of these providers process data outside Australia. We only use reputable services with their own privacy commitments.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work normally.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails stay in our mailbox for as long as they are useful for the enquiry or the client relationship. Server logs are cycled and discarded on a rolling basis.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email pauline@custodia.com.au or call 0412 340 911 and we will sort it out.
Professional obligations
As a registered BAS agent we are also bound by the Tax Agent Services Act and the Code of Professional Conduct, which carry their own confidentiality obligations over client information. Those apply to our client work in addition to this website policy.
